Global Landuse USGS

The map was constructed from the USGS Global Land Cover Characterization database.

USGS Global Land Cover (Cell Size 0.00375. Landuse (or land cover) map was constructed from the USGS Global Land Cover Characterization (GLCC) database (http://edcsns17.cr.usgs.gov/glcc/glcc. html). This map has a spatial resolution of 1 km and 24 classes of landuse representation. The parameterization of the landuse classes (e.g., leaf area index, maximum stomatal conductance, maximum root depth, optimal and minimum temperature for plant growth) is based on the available SWAT landuse classes and literature research.
