SWAT-MODSIM coupled model

The coupled SWAT-MODSIM model is a program that links the SWAT and MODSIM models for better integrated water resource planning and management. Optimal water allocation among competing users including hydropower generation is missing in SWAT. The main feature of MODSIM DSS is in allocating available water resources to different users optimally, irrespective of what sources they come from. That is why the idea of coupling SWAT and MODSIM as two powerful tools for modeling both water availability and water allocation (management) is a very attractive idea.
